From JFK to EDI, with love
Even after a slightly longer stay at RDU, we still had plenty of time to kill when we arrived at JFK. So we enjoyed a relaxing lunch, sent our friends the link to this travel blog, and were soon joined by our travel companions. I had many activities planned for our layover but that will have to wait. The party has already begun.
When we arrived at our gate (and quickly took that above picture), we were surrounded by friends from AZ and TX who were also en route to the Special Convention. And then met some friends from our old circuit in Ohio. Amazingly, one sister is now studying with one of my former bible students and said she is progressing towards baptism - with plans for the Fall circuit assembly. That news made my day.
And as some of our friends received the blog invitation, we learned that we have a few that will be waiting for us in Scotland too! Dear ones that we haven’t seen in many years - what happy reunions we have in store this week.
Once on the flight, I made quick work of getting some ZZZs. Which means, I completely forgot all the aids I brought for the first-timers. But when I work up at 1am EST (aargh), Dionne was still wide awake. So we got her some Magnesium Spray and some Well-Rested Tea. I fear that it might be too late for sleep because. . .

Hey, my family! What an exciting day, to meet old friends and make new ones in another part of the world!! Only in Jehovah's family... have fun!!
