If London is a city within a city. . .

Bethel is a world like no other! We opted to take an uber to get to Jehovah’s house as directly and quickly as possible because we knew good things were awaiting. After a gas station pit-stop, our driver got pretty talkative. He told us the City of London is actually only 1 square mile, and why he doesn’t miss Romania, as well as many of the reasons why he needed the Kingdom. And since we were with him for about an hour, Stacy was able to co-pilot (which means pumping his imaginary brakes on the passenger side of the vehicle) and I was able to nap in the back seat - waking up just in time to give a brief witness and a contact card.

And lunch with the Bethel family was a special treat with more food, more music, and more dancing. Who knew Chicken Tikka Masala originated in the UK?

The “A” Residence is where our dear faithful elderly ones are well cared for and fulfill their assignment: shepherding and sharing experiences with the rest of the Bethel family. The Jacksons got to enjoy a chat with Bro Sydney Smith who has served at Bethel for 58 years!!!

The grounds were breathtaking - a culmination of work by over 100 gardeners! There are even olive trees that were imported from Spain on the property that are over 120 years old! And the botanical gardens are the size of the Garden of Gethsemane.

Even the ladies bathroom was special.

Main work at Britain Bethel: video production. We thoroughly enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour of Stage 2. The production building is roughly the size of Noah’s ark. Britain has the 3rd largest JW production studio and produces about 1/3 of convention videos. For the 2025 convention program, the video of the sister in the classroom was produced here. Annually, about 10 videos are completed here.
