Travel Shenanigans Guaranteed - Part 2
Sick for Scotch. We made fast friends with a few couples from Sweden as we were staying in the same hotel and seemed to have the exact same itinerary. After the Glasgow History Walking Tour culminated at the museum, the brother determined that his wife’s mom was not feeling well. His plan was to get the family back to the hotel quickly so he could have time for a private Scotch tasting on his last night in town.
Maydelle wants to go to Bethel! One of my favorite Convention travel partners was so excited about our plans that she was willing to ditch her family to join our group.
Sports Illustrated or Horse Illustrated. Met a sister from Maine that got me all excited about ghost-writing. She does this for work and says there is plenty of work for people who know how to write (like blogs). She also shared that she has published some things under her own name for Horse Illustrated. But I heard Sports Illustrated and we got a good laugh when that was clarified.
Peek-a-boo! We rode the cross-country train from Glasgow to London. Since it was a long journey, we were grateful to know they had a small cafe and good size toilets for our comfort. Except, Stacy forgot to lock the door - awkward moment with another passenger.
We lost the Jacksons (almost). On our last night in London, the Jacksons walked to the local store and Stacy and I went straight to our penthouse flat. We got the text message that they were on their way. Stacy was already downstairs. They text again “We’re here!” Stacy texted back “No you are not.” I joined the chat “Do I need to come down there?” They realized they were at the wrong building.
